General Purpose Motors

Electrical performance
Single phase motors are either split phase start induction run, capacitor start and run, capacitor start capacitor run or capacitor start induction run. These are suitable for 230V 50 Hz single phase ac supply and conform to BS 2048 part I and BS 5000 part II.

They are rated for continuous duty and have class B insulation till 40 ???C ambient. Motors are available in outputs from 1/ 4 HP to 3HP and may be 2,4 (most common), 6 or 8 poled.
